REMEMBRANCE: Where you can pay your respects on Sunday

Wentworth: Holy Trinity Church from 10am, followed by Act of Remembrance and service of rededication at village war memorial on Main Street at 10.50am. Refreshments available at The Mechanics Institute.

Ravenfield: Remembrance service at the war memorial located on Moor Lane North from at 10.45am. Poppies, flowers or wreaths are welcome to be laid during the service, which will be led by Rev Peter Hughes. Moor Lane North will be closed between 10.45am and 11.15am to allow the service to take place.

Swinton: Remembrance parade from 10.30am, followed by service at St Margaret’s Church.

Catcliffe: Remembrance dedication and service will from 9.45am. No church service afterwards. Annual memorial service in St Mary’s at 3pm.

Wath: Church Street and High Street will be closed between 10.30am and 12.30pm while the parade and service takes place.

Whiston: Service at Whiston Parish Church from 9.45am followed by the laying of poppy wreaths on the Lych Gate and the playing of the Last Post. Parish Council remembrance pie and pea lunch in the parish hall for local veterans and senior citizens, starting at 12.30pm, for those who have pre-booked.
