PHOTO GALLERY: Scouts celebrate saints’ day

Members of Scout troops and Cub packs from around the borough descended on Talbot Lane Methodist Church on Thursday night for the annual salue to their patron saint.

And as this photo tweeted by the Mayor of Rotherham, Cllr Maggi Clark, shows, there was not exactly much room to spare in the historic building.

It could be the final time the Scouts’ parade and service centres on the 250-year-old church as the long-standing seat of worship may have to close due to falling parishioner numbers.
