Open auditions for Lyceum pantomime this weekend

YOUNG female dancers are invited to audition for one of the region’s largest professional pantomimes this weekend.

The Lyceum Theatre in Sheffield is searching for girls who are 5ft 4ins or shorter and aged nine to 15-years-old (inclusive on September 1 2016) to feature in the junior dancing ensemble of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves.

The show will run from December 9, 2016 to January 8, 2017 and successful applicants will find themselves performing alongside Coronation Street's Wendi Peters, Phil Gallagher - better known as Cbeebies' Mister Maker - and Sheffield pantomime legend Damian Williams.

Auditions will take place on Sunday (June 19) from 10.30am and will last two hours.

Applicants must attend the Lyceum's main entrance accompanied by a parent and bring a completed application form, downloadable from www.sheffieldtheatres.co.uk, and a bottle of water.

Auditionees should wear comfortable clothing, soft/dance shoes and be available throughout the entire rehearsal and production period from November 25  - January 8 2016.
