Greasbrough group calls for new members

A NEWLY-FORMED local history group has declared itself open to new members — and their memories.

The new Greasbrough Community History Society is hosting its next meeting at Greasbrough Public Library at 5pm next Thursday (20).

The group has 20 members aged between 30 and 70 and meets every third Thursday in the month at the library.

It aims to provide an improved arts and culture facility within the community and help members develop skills such as computing, writing and presenting.

The society plans to hold a series of illustrated talks and exhibitions and hopes to go on to publish its book books.
