Goth punks Creeper set for South Yorkshire date

A GOTH-punk band billed as “the cult you're dying to fall in love with” descend on South Yorkshire later this month.

Southampton quintet Creeper are following up the release of their EP The Callous Heart with a date at the Leadmill in Sheffield on October 21.

They may look like “like Wednesday Addams' new favourite band”, according to Metal Hammer, but Creeper also draw on the likes of Nick Cave, Metallica and David Bowie.

Visually and conceptually, their inspiration comes from old school horrors such as The Exorcist, The Twilight Zone and Phantom of the Paradise, as well as films which celebrate the outsider such as Heathers and Stand By Me.

Tickets are available from the venue.
