Fundraiser for Andy's Man Club: Club-goers to enjoy live music, raffles, and competitions

CLUB-goers will enjoy a night of music and competitions next weekend in memory of a much-loved son and friend.

Jamie Foster (26) took his own life on New Year’s Day 2020 after a struggle with mental health problems, said his mum Lisa Foster.

Lisa raised funds for mental health charity Mind last year but has decided this time around to support Andy’s Man Club.

Next Saturday’s event from 7pm onwards at Thrybergh Top Club where Lisa works behind the bar will feature live music from singer Dan Taylor.

Raffles and other competitions are also being held, with a signed Rotherham United football up for grabs.

Lisa said: “Jamie had been seeing his GP for 18 months and was given different tablets but he was never assessed by a mental health team.

“The first I heard about Andy’s Man Club was in May last year, and what they do is amazing. A lot of people don’t know about them.

“So we decided to do a fundraising event to raise funds but more than that help raise awareness.”

The event is open to anyone over the age of 18, whether members and non-members.
