Friends hope showgoers will remember our heroes
VISITORS to this weekend’s Rotherham show are being urged to back a campaign to provide a memorial for the town’s fallen war heroes.
The Friends of Clifton Park have raised £9,500 towards their World War Two memorial fund but still need another £20,000 to hit their target.
The Friends group will be taking part in the show tomorrow and Sunday by playing 1940s music in the park’s Garden House and inviting visitors to join in a competition for a bottle of whiskey and a signed Rotherham United shirt.
