Fashion fan's boost for Bluebell Wood

A FASHION fanatic has organised an evening event showcasing the high quality clothes available at a chain of charity shops.

Bethany Fenton (22) said she wanted to highlight Bluebell Wood’s wares to prove that discount outfits can be among the best.

Teaching assistant Bethany (pictured), from Whiston, said: “When you’ve bought something, some people can turn their noses up at you when they find out it was from a charity shop.

“I just really liked the idea of getting people together and showing them what’s on offer at these shops.

“I chose to support Bluebell Wood as the true love and passion that’s been put into the care of the children is outstanding.

“On my visit to the hospice, I was truly amazed. I’d been quite worried about what to expect, thinking it was going to be upsetting.

“But it was lovely to see all the children, smiling in the environment made for them. It was such a satisfying feeling.”

The event is at Silverwood Miners Welfare next Friday (20) from 7pm. Entry is £2 on the door, with VIP tables for eight including a bottle of prosecco, nibbles and cupcakes available for £40.

Community fundraiser Anna Gott said: “We’re delighted that Bethany has decided to support us in this way.

“It’s fantastic that she has chosen to involve our hospice shops as well as raise the much-needed awareness and funds.”
