GREEN FLAGS GALORE: There is cause for celebration in the local vicinity, with Greasbrough Park being given the Green Flag Award for the third consecutive year! There was a presentation recently at Doncaster Racecourse, with representatives from Friends of Greasbrough Park and Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council in attendance. Friends Of Greasbrough Park would like to take this opportunity to thank all who volunteer their time and efforts in maintaining the park, as well as those who visit it and treat the space with respect, allowing it to be enjoyed by all. LOCAL HISTORY: Our wonderful village of Greasbrough is rich with history. If this is of interest to you, why not come and join Greasbrough Community History Society? There is a meeting this evening, Thursday, August 4, from 5-7pm, in the function room of the Crown Inn pub. If you cannot make this date, there is no need to worry as the society meets on a monthly basis. New and old members alike are always very welcome, with your input and ideas gratefully welcomed and appreciated.
