Clifton Park hosts great day out for man's best friend

DOG owners are invited to take part in a Dogs' Day Out which will feature a dog show, charity stalls and obedience training.

The event, taking place at Clifton Park, will run from 10am to 3.30pm on Saturday.

Hannah O'Brien, a Clifton Park Ranger, has organised the event in a hope to provide a great day out for all local dog lovers.

She said: “Clifton Park sees a large number of dog walkers every day, so it makes sense to invite them here for a fun day out that will also give advice and help on how to look after our four legged friends responsibly.”

Rotherham Dog Rescue has organised the dog show which will cost £1 to enter with categories including the ‘scruffiest mutt’ and the ‘best rescue dog’.

Delinquent Dogz, a dog agility club, will offer information on obedience and agility while Hardwick Hounds will be giving grooming advice.

If it is a success Clifton Park hope to make it an annual event.
