Chance to have your church picture in a calendar
Super snappers have until Friday to submit their entries for the photographic competition being held as part of the centenary celebrations for the Diocese of Sheffield.
South Yorkshire’s church hold over 1,500 years of heritage and histories of the people and parishes they have served from Saxon times to the modern day and entries are being sought which celebrate the life and heritage of churches and encourage people to explore and engage with amazing buildings.

Hide AdThere are six subject categories to enter: Church and churchyard) in the landscape; Light, ritual and season; Beasts and monsters (under-12s only); In memoriam; Faith; Hidden gems.
The winner of each category will be presented with a canvas copy of their photograph by Richard Taylor, author of How to Read a Church and writer and presenter of the BBC's Churches: How to Read Them.
Prizes will be presented at Sheffield Cathedral on the evening of November 17, where an exhibition of entries will be on display.
Prize winners and selected photographs will be used to produce a 2015 Diocese of Sheffield Calendar.
All entries should be submitted to [email protected] by 5pm on October 31.
