Bowie tribute to feature in cancer charity night

THE music of David Bowie will get a timely outing next week as part of a charity night to raise funds for cancer research.

The Thirsty Flame Bar and Grill in Brinsworth is marking World Cancer Day on Thursday with a night of music and entertainment.

Among the acts performing is Paul Brian, best known for his Idol Eyes tribute act to Bowie - who died from cancer earlier this month - and Billy Idol.

Also on the bill at country singer Ryan Cosford and Stevie V’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Show.

There will be a disco, karaoke, music quiz and Raffles to win a craft beer hamper, meat hamper and bottles of wine.

Entry is free but donations will be gratefully accepted.

All proceeds will go to Cancer Research UK.

The event starts at 9pm.
