Antiques Roadshow rolls into Wentworth

THE lawn of Rotherham’s stately gem will be packed with antiques owners — and Fiona Bruce (pictured) — next month as the Antiques Roadshow rolls into town.

But ahead of the BBC show filming at Wentworth Woodhouse on September 19, visitors to the stately home can feast their eyes on a collection of four-wheeled marvels with the return of the vintage vehicle rally on Sunday.

Artefact owners are still being urged to contact the organisers of Antiques Roadshow — which reaches an average of six million viewers — to organise valuations and expert appraisals on the day.

The free event is open to visitors between 9.30am and 4.30pm.

Presenter Fiona said: “We never know what will turn up, from the most fabulous Faberge to the most humble object with a riveting story.”

Visitors with large pieces of furniture or other big items can send details and photographs of their objects to: Antiques Roadshow, BBC, Whiteladies Road, Bristol, BS8 2LR or email them to [email protected].

On Sunday, Wentworth Woodhouse will follow up the roar-away success of last year’s vintage vehicle rally from 11am to 5pm.
