Tiser Ale — back by popular demand!

TISER Ale is set for a return — after drinkers supped 5,500 pints during the first run of our special edition beer.

We teamed up with Chantry Brewery to produce the drink celebrating the Advertiser’s return to Rotherham in late 2019.

And we treated readers to a couple of free pints in December — helping it to sell out completely within weeks.

But we can reveal that Tiser Ale will return with a limited run when the Rotherham Real Ale and Music Festival hits Magna from February 27 to 29.

Advertiser editor Andrew Mosley said: ”We were delighted to launch Tiser Ale in association with a brewery that produces beers of the quality of Chantry.

“It was the perfect way to celebrate our return to Rotherham and it proved to be an exceptionally good pint.

“We are grateful to everyone who purchased a paper to sample a free pint at the Cutlers Arms or New York Tavern and subsequently bought a few afterwards, enabling it to sell in its thousands.

“We are also thrilled that Chantry are bringing it back for the beer festival to enable those who missed out to taste a Tiser and those who enjoyed it to do so once again.”

Chantry co-founder Mick Warburton said: “We sold 5,500 pints of Tiser Ale and bottled 120 pints of it.

“Everyone loved the beer and couldn't get enough of it. It’s a good, refreshing session drink.

People have been asking when it’s coming back and were delighted to say that it will be on at the Magna beer festival.”

The ale festival — this year celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Britain — takes place on February 27, 28 and 29, with tickets on sale now at https://www.magnarealale.uk/
