Shining the light on Mexborough’s Christmas magic

MAGIC, mayhem and more — that’s the promise from the organisers of Mexborough’s Christmas lights switch-on.

The big public event is back for 2022 with Santa’s grotto, performances from the Tuneless Choir, routines from Emma Pilling Dance Academy and the Base Dancers.

There will be a free Santa’s grotto, illusions from Zen Magic, fire-eating from Beyond a Joke, a craft market, community stalls, free balloon modelling and fairground rides.

The fun starts at 4pm tomorrow (Thursday).

Meanwhile, Santa will be making an appearance at Cortonwood Comeback Centre’s switch-on and Christmas market from 5pm to 7.30pm on December 3 and returning to greet young fans from 4pm to 7pm the following day.
