Prohibition era musical favourite Bugsy Malone heads to Sheffield's Lyceum Theatre

A new take on the 1976 classic film starring Jodie Foster, this is a show where fans can expect flying custard pies and a classic soundtrack.

Sheffield’s Lyceum theatre invites audiences to enter the world of Bugsy Malone the musical next week.

Bugsy Malone is a penniless one-time boxer and all-round nice guy, who is thrust into the limelight when he becomes the last resort for gangster Fat Sam in his dispute with rival Dandy Dan.

The custard pies are flying and Dandy Dan’s gang has the upper hand over Fat Sam since obtaining the new-fangled “splurge gun. 

All Bugsy wants to do is spend time with his new love, Blousey, but that just isn’t in the cards for our hero.

Will Bugsy be able to resist seductive songstress Tallulah, Fat Sam’s moll and Bugsy's old flame, and stay out of trouble long enough to help Fat Sam to defend his business?

Bugsy Malone runs in the Lyceum Theatre from next Tuesday to Saturday.
