We've got to win our last three: Bester

ANDRE Bester says Rotherham Titans' promotion hopes aren't over despite yesterday's 25-17 defeat at Cornish Pirates.

But the Clifton Lane coach admits: "We've got to win our remaining three games."

Titans were unlucky not to come away from Penzance with at least a bonus point as they trailed by one point just before the hour.

But, once again, elementary mistakes proved so costly as the home side, desperate for a win to keep their own hopes alive, scored a decisive try to stretch the gap to eight points and leave Rotherham with no reward for their efforts.

They had led after only three minutes when Dave McCall sprinted through a hole in the cover.

After that Garry Law added four penalties but Pirates always had that extra strength.

Said Bester: "With a little more luck we could have won it and it's disappointing that we didn't get anything.

"We have now got to kick on and win our last three matches, starting this Saturday at home to Pirates."
