We're good enough: Bester

TITANS chief Andre Bester is confident his squad has the firepower to make an impact in the forthcoming play-offs.

Bester brought in two new faces prior to this week’s transfer deadline, Tom Armes on a dual regustration from Leicester Tigers and rookie scrum-half Dale Farnham.

But he missed out on Leicester’s powerful winger Lee Robinson who, despite having verbally agreed to come to Clifton Lane, made an 11th hour decision to join Premiership Wasps. He made a quickfire debut in Saturday’s LV Cup defeat at home to Exeter.

Armes will be available to play for Rotherham when not required by the Tigers. The 21-year-old back-rower is no stranger to the Championship has already appeared 16 times for Nottingham during last season.

Farnham, drafted in from Playmouth as cover for Jimmy Williams, made his debut in Saturday’s defeat at Bristol.

Titans will know this morning whether tomorrow’s scheduled game against Cornish Pirates goes ahead.

With Clifton Lane frostbound and a thaw unlikey, an early decision will be made to prevent the Penzance team and supporters from travelling north. A preliminary inspection was due to have taken place last night.
