We'll be stronger: Bester

ANDRE Bester has pledged that Rotherham will be stronger and better next season\_and his first step has been to appoint Sam Dickinson as skipper.

The Titans head coach said goodbye this week to a raft of players following the club’s final game of the season, a heaviest-ever defeat as they crashed 80-19 at promotion-chasing Bedford.

Up to 24 of the current squad will eventually leave with Bester and the club directors, Nick Cragg and Martin Jenkinson, busy assembling next year’s team.

Said Bester: We have learned a heck of a lot this season and we will take that all on board as we get ready for next year.

“We will be much, much better next season and I think we are all delighted with the players we have already signed up and with those we hope to sign within the next few weeks.

“Our pack will be up with the strongest in the Championship. We have brought in the likes of Semisi Tualava and Taliti Vaiolete and we are also looking at adding to our strength.
