TOP referee Howard Webb will take charge of the first match at Rotherham United’s New York Stadium—but he has other business to attend to first.

The World Cup and Premier League official is among the list of refs for Euro 2012 and makes his tournament debut tomorrow when Russia play the Czech Republic in the Polish city of Wroclaw.

A dozen referees have been appointed to handle the 31 matches at Euro 2012 in Poland and Ukraine and performances during the tournament will decide who goes on to the latter stages.

Webb, who refereed the stormy 2010 World Cup final, will be hopeful of doing so.

He has been confirmed as the referee for the curtain-raiser at the New York Stadium against Barnsley on Saturday, July 21.
