We need mental toughness: Bester

TITANS coach Andre Bester says his side have got to develop a mental toughness as they head into the New Year, following Saturday's 24-12 defeat at winless Esher.

The setback means that Rotherham have now lost against the bottom three sides in the Championship, having also been beaten by London Scottish and Plymouth. It's not enough to set the alarm bells clanging, but does mean that Bester's men have to iron out a fraility in their psyche as the play-offs loom.

Said Bester: "There's a pattern developing with the Rotherham team where we are dropping points against the bottom teams and that has a lot to do with our mentality.”

Titans now have the chance to pick themselves up with two successive home games, starting against London Welsh this Saturday and continuing seven days later against Moseley.
