Why David can beat Goliath...

IT’S been billed as David v Goliath...and Rotherham boxing boss Dave Coldwell is aiming to play his part in what he reckons will be the upset of the century.

Londoner David Haye faces Russian giant Nikolai Valuev—who has to step OVER the ropes to get into the ring—in Nuremberg next week as he bids to become Britain's first heavyweight world champion since Lennox Lewis retired in 2003.

Coldwell has played his part after joining the Hayemaker Promotions camp last year and is confident that Haye can win—despite giving away a massive 90lb weight disadvantage and being NINE inches smaller.

The fight has been described as akin to Haye taking on a grizzly bear, or similar to Haye taking on someone of the stature of Take That’s Mark Owen.

“It’s a big, big ask. Literally,” says Coldwell, who flies out to Germany next week.

“But David has got a game plan and if he sticks to it then he’ll have a chance."
