We're ready to roll, says Evans

STEVE Evans says the Millers are ready to tackle League One despite failing to wrap up what would have been a club record signing.

While disappointed that Falkirk hot-shot Lyle Taylor rejected personal terms after Rotherham agreed a £200,000 fee for the 23-year-old, Evans says he’ll move on to fresh targets as he looks to bring in the missing piece of his jigsaw.

But, says Evans: “It’s not a major problem and we will be ready for the start of the season.

"We'll move on to other targets but we're ready to go now..

"The players have been superb and we’re already looking good. We could have won with a lot more goals against Livingston and there’s a real feeling of optimism in the camp.”

The Millers won 2-0 at Livingston on Wedneday and face Ayr United tomorrow.
