After being out since July following a knee op, Feeley made a welcome return in the second half at Meadow Lane.

And he know the Titans have to pull their socks up after crumbling to a confidence-sapping 46-0 beating as they face Bedford at home tomorrow, followed by next week’s long and potentially lethal trip to leaders Exeter.

“It wasn’t good and the coaches certainly let us know that in the changing rooms,” said Feeley.

“There may be excuses with it being a Friday night game but at the end of the day you don’t need to be a good player to make tackles. There were no excuses.

“We certainly need some game breakers but in order to get the ball to those players we need to start winning the ball up front.

“At the moment we aren’t retaining enough possession and we aren’t patient enough with the ball in our hands. If we are going to make breaks we need to keep the ball first.”
