Titans set to begin player talks

TITANS to begin talks with players for next season after taking a massive stride towards securing their place in the Championship.

TITANS will this week begin talks with players for next season after taking a massive stride towards securing their place in the Championship.

Last week’s 33-20 win over Birmingham and Solihull means that the Clifton Lane side, with three straight relegation play-off wins under their belts, are almost certainly safe, barring a disaster in their final three matches.

That means they can start putting contracts on the table for the 2010/11 season.

Said head coach Craig West: “We aren’t mathematically certain just yet but it will be a shock if we don’t survive.

“We can now start talking to players and hope to be in a position to make offers before our final game.”

Titans lead the four-club drop group with 15 points, nine ahead of Saturday’s opponents Birmingham. Moseley are now favourites for relegation after their 6-3 defeat at Coventry last week.
