TITANS will this week be addressing the issues from a heavy opening-day Championship defeat in time for Saturday’s clash at Doncaster.

Andy Key’s new-look side conceded 41 unanswered  points on the way to a 46-10 loss to Nottingham at Clifton Lane on Sunday.

Key isn’t downhearted and will stress the positives as well tackling what went wrong ahead of a clash with a Doncaster side who started with a 26-24 win over Jersey at the weekend.

He said: “It wasn’t the result we were looking for by any stretch but I do think there was a lot of positives we can take, certainly when we attacked and got ourselves on the front foot. I also take my hat off to Nottingham, who have a very organised defence. In the modern game, if you get your defence right then you are part of the way towards winning games and I think that’s where we came unstuck a little bit .

“As a young side, we’re early in the season. We’re under no illusions, Donny will be a tough ask, but there will be a lot of things we will be doing in the week to make sure that things that caught us out against Nottingham won’t next time.”

Kick-off on Saturday is 2.30pm and we’ll have more on the build-up and from Andy Key in Friday’s Advertiser.
