Titans' delight at new captures

COACH Justin Burnell says he's delighted with the quality of players he's signed on loan deals this week — including one player whose last outing was against England at Twickenham.

Argentinean utility back Juan Pablo Estelles comes to Clifton Lane on a dual-registration deal from Northampton Saints

He made his third test appearance in the Pumas’ 27-14 defeat against England last month and will drop straight in to tomorrow’s British and Irish Cup side to face Munster.

Burnell has also brought in 22 year old winger Tom Collins and Lewis Ludlam from Saints along with South African lock Wilhelm van ver Sluys from Worcester, young Leicester fly half Oli Bryant and 24-year-old hooker Santi Socino, the brother of former Titans star Juan Pablo and who is currently playing at Darlington.

Burnell is delighted with the captures as he looks to give a breather to several first team regulars.

“We’ve brought in some good guys and we’ve been fortunate to get some of them,” he said. “We’re developing good relationships with clubs and they’re seeing that we’re prepared to give the players a chance to play in a really competitive environment."
