Thumbs down for Millers' duo

ROTHERHAM United will go into tomorrow’s prickly FA Cup tie at Barrow without loanees Guy Branston and Jon Harley.

Boss Andy Scott had pressed both Bradford City and Notts County to release both but was given the thumbs-down. That’s likely to mean a return for Tom Newey at full-back with Scott having to revamp his defensive permutation with Ryan Cresswell, Michael Raynes and Mark Bradley all out. Troy Brown has also been called up to the Wales U21 squad but loanees Conrad Logan and Brett Willams have both been given permission to play by respective clubs Leicester and Reading.

Scott knows it’s a tough draw—and defeat will certainly be the last thing he wants following the Millers’ slide down the League Two table.

He said: “It's tough, tough draw and a hard place to go at the best of times and we certainly won't underestimate them.
