Laurence Wilson (30) and Gary Roberts (30) helped Welsh outfit Bangor City into the qualifying stages of the Europa League – the second biggest club tournament in Europe after the Champions League – thanks to a 1-0 win over Cardiff Met FC on Saturday.

Thirty-four-year-old Daniel Nardiello didn’t play in the game at the weekend but is registered as a Bangor player.

Defender Wilson, who made seven appearances for the Millers in 2012, and midfielder Roberts, who scored three times in 13 games in the 2009/10 season, both started the play-off tie.

Striker Dean Rittenberg's first half strike was enough for former Premier League man Gary Taylor-Fletcher’s side to reach the qualification rounds for next season’s tournament.

Meanwhile, the Millers have announced they will open their pre-season calendar by taking on Parkgate on Saturday, July 8 in a 2pm kick off at the club’s Roundwood training base.
