Scott's delight at captures

MILLERS boss Andy Scott says his player chase will continue after this week’s signing of striker Chris Holroyd and defender Luke Foster.

And he says he’s delighted that both have opted to come to Don Valley.

United beat off opposition from several clubs to land 24-year-old Holroyd from Brighton and Scott is confident he’ll become a hit with the fans.

“He signed for a lot of money at Brighton but things didn’t work out,” said Scott. I spoke to Gus Poyet about the lad’s character and he’s shown that by wanting to go out on loan at Stevenage and Bury and he did well there.

Mexborough-born Foster (23) comes to Don Valley on a one-year deal from Stevenage and Scott believes he’ll be a key man in central defence.

There are still one or two players we’re looking at and that’ll develop in the next few weeks.”
