Scott plays waiting game

MILLERS boss Andy Scott says he expects pieces of his new-look Rotherham United jigsaw to start dropping into place over the next few weeks.

Scott wants to bring in up to eight new faces as he builds a squad capable of making a strong promotion shot next season.

But the new manager may have to play a waiting game as players hedge their bets until later in the summer.

“It’s that time of the year when you are running around a lot identifying the players you want and then offering deals,” he said.

“I want eight or nine new players in and it is like a jigsaw. When you get the first one then you can drop the other one into position, if you don’t get who you want then you have to look for another piece that fits.
