MANAGER Ronnie Moore hopes to have another new signing in the bag for Rotherham United today.

After seeing his side score a third straight win with victory at Torquay United on Saturday, Moore is intending to strengthen his squad in time for tomorrow's Don Valley clash with Lincoln City.

He said: "I would like to think we'll have a new right winger in early this week. It nearly happened on Friday but it didn't. The thinking is he will come in and play on Tuesday."

Moore was speaking after losing right-sided player Paul Warne to an ankle injury at the weekend. He is not expected to be fit for tomorrow.

Another injury headache surrounds right-back Dale Tonge, who didn't travel to the south coast after limping out of training.

Moore said: "He's got a stress fracture, which is a bit of a nightmare because it's difficult to heal. He can't kick a ball for three weeks."

Late goals by Kevin Ellison and Adam Le Fondre earned the Millers a 2-0 win in atrocious conditions at Torquay.

The match saw the debut of midfielder Gary Roberts as a second-half sub and he played a part in the first goal.

As predicted by the Advertiser on Friday, Jason Taylor has joined Rochdale on loan.
