Relegation could be confirmed this weekend for Rotherham United

ROTHERHAM United could be officially relegated from the Championship this weekend after Blackburn Rovers secured a shock point at high-flying Fulham on Tuesday night.

If results go against the Millers, Ian Holloway’s QPR could send Paul Warne’s men back to League One after three seasons in the second tier.

If Rotherham fail to pick up any points in the capital on Saturday and relegation rivals Blackburn and Nottingham Forest both win, along with Burton Albion not losing, the Millers’ drop to League One will be confirmed with eight games remaining.

Other permutations include Blackburn winning at home to Preston, Burton avoiding defeat and Forest picking up a point against Derby, meaning the Millers would then only be able to draw level on points with Forest, with goal difference all but sending them down.
