Pressley high on odds lists for Rotherham job

FORMER Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has shot to the top of the bookies' odds lists for the vacant Rotherham United job.

Pressley, backed down from 20/1 to 4/7, has been off the scene since resigning from Fleetwood Town in July and is one of many names linked with the position.

Wycombe's Gareth Ainsworth, Malky MacKay, John Pemberton and Russell Slade have also been mentioned although the Millers haven't formerly drawn up a shortlist yet to succeed Kenny Jackett, who resigned last week.

Caretaker manager Paul Warne took charge of the Championship's bottom team at Burton last weekend and will remain for Saturday's visit of QPR and probably longer.

The Millers' chief operating officer, Paul Douglas, said: "We are going to take our time over this decision and we know we are in safe hands with Paul and that he has the players on his side."
