Police investigate "racist abuse" of Rotherham United player
SOUTH Yorkshire Police has confirmed it is investigating alleged racist comments made towards a Rotherham United player.
A force spokeswoman said it received reports of abuse posted on social media earlier this week.
The comments are understood to have been posted on Facebook and relate to on-loan Chelsea player Izzy Brown, following the club’s 2-1 defeat at Burton Albion on Saturday.
There were also reports of racial abuse at the game itself.
The spokeswoman said enquiries were ongoing.
