Daniel Nardiello became the first signing last Thursday when he joined from Exeter City and the Millers are also chasing more recruits, having this week had an undisclosed bid for Peterborough full-back Mark Little turned down.

It was third time lucky on Nardiello as Evans had had two previous approaches for the 29-year-old former Manchester United youngster turned down during his time in charge at Crawley.

Nardiello, also formerly at Oakwell, has agreed a two-year deal.
