ROTHERHAM United could soon be dipping into the transfer market to re-ignite their promotion push.

The Millers slipped out the top three automatic promotion positions in League Two after last weekend's goalless draw against hot favourites Notts County, leaving them with two wins from the last seven games.

Conversely, there's been only one defeat in that sequence and Rotherham maintained a three-point cushion above County thanks to last Saturday's result.

After a month in charge, new boss Ronnie Moore (pictured) is getting to know his squad and is identifying where there is need for improvement.

And despite the scoring exploits of Adam Le Fondre , he reckons the side have been lacking a cutting edge and if some of the current crop can't provide it, he'll look for people who can.

Moore said: "We're hard to beat. That's the first thing. There's plenty of spirit here too but we have to be more clinical.

"It's difficult for the 11 or so lads who aren't getting a regular game at the moment and I haven't had the chance to see some of them in the first team.

"One or two or the regulars didn't perform against Hereford a couple of weeks ago so I made a couple of changes and I'll do the same again if necessary.

"I want to give people an opportunity but if it's not right then I might have to look at moving two or three out and getting two or three in."

The Millers visit Bury tomorrow (3pm), with Nick Fenton set to miss out for a one-match suspension for his sending-off against County.
