Millers land Pukka Pies sponsorship deal for new stand

THE Millers have signed a three-year deal for sponsorship of their new stadium’s West Stand with Rotherham-based Eric Twigg Foods.

The stand will known as the Pukka Pie stand as part of the first confirmed sponsorship agreement for the new stadium, which is due to be finished next July.

Millers chairman Tony Stewart and Head of Commercial Steve Lewis will be joined at the site of the new stadium tomorrow by Eric Twigg Foods chairman Eric Twigg and managing director Matthew Twigg to seal the deal.

Eric Twigg Foods has been associated with the Millers since 1981 and  Matthew Twigg said: “"My father, our chairman, has always been a massive Rotherham United fan and I followed in his footsteps, so we are delighted to be the first major sponsors of the new stadium," said Managing Director Matthew Twigg.

"We have just celebrated a 30-year association with the club, and as we enter a new exciting time in the clubs history, we are delighted to be extending our association long into the future.

“I think it is fair to say that having a Pukka Pie has become part of the tradition of attending a Rotherham United game, and a lot of thanks have to go to the Millers fans for making that happen.”
