Millers land new Head of Recruitment

The Millers have been looking to hire someone to oversee the club's transfer strategy moving forwards for a number of weeks.

The new recruit will also help appoint a new first team manager.

Chief Operating Officer Paul Douglas said: "The club has taken a long look at how we can improve our recruitment strategy.

"We set about a process in the early autumn to find the right person to be our head of recruitment and, after several weeks, we can confirm that we have made an appointment.

"We cannot at this moment announce the name of the individual, but what we can say is he is a very experienced person who is currently working at a well established club.

"He has experience in both UK and European recruitment, will be a huge asset and will play a part in the process of finding our next manager. 

"The new head of recruitment will operate a structure that will ensure the club is more comprehensive and rigorous in finding the type of players Rotherham United needs to be competitive at the highest possible level."
