Millers boss Paul Warne hails players' commitment after play-off semi success

JUBILANT Paul Warne praised his side’s will to win after the Millers secured a crack at an instant Championship comeback at Wembley next weekend.

Rotherham United beat Scunthorpe United 2-0 at the New York Stadium last night to complete a 4-2 aggregate win and land a spot in the League One play-off final next Sunday.

And United manager Warne (pictured), while conceding the Millers weren’t at their best, credited his players with supreme commitment and said he was delighted with the victory.

“We weren't excellent by any stretch but we did enough to win,” he said.

“We have tried to put a group together that wanted to be together and was strong together and they are definitely that.

“They put their bodies on the line for each other.

“They want to win and you can see how much it meant to them at the end. I'm pretty proud of them.

“I am really pleased for a lot of people who work and to get to Wembley is a great achievement.
