Loch Ness marathon for Harriers
The race started on high ground to the tune of Scottish bagpipes and the whistling of the highland winds and from there the route sharply descendsed in the opening miles to the banks of the Loch, where the route is anything but flat. It's a race for all marathon runners to experience.
First home for the Harriers were Ian Whyman and Damian Worsdall, crossing the line together in 31st and 32nd place witha new massive personal best time of 2:55.50 for Damian.
Next home was Steve Marshall in another PB of 3:09.34 and then Martyn Whyman completed the course in 3:46.24 in his first ever marathon.
