Let's push on, says Evans

Three straight victories, culminating in last night's big derby win at Bradford City, have lifted the Millers up to third spot with only two matches remaining.

Maximum points from both will virtually guarantee them promotion. But with a trip to form side Plymouth Argyle this weekend followed by a home clash with Aldershot, still fighting for their lives, at the New York Stadium next Saturday, Evans wants no slacking.

"It was a great three points for us at Bradford but that's all it is and if we don't go and look after Plymouth then the win won't mean as much.

"In the dressing room, the atmosphere wasn't bouncing. The feeling was 'job done, now let's get ready for Plymouth'.

"If we think it is going to be easy then we're kidding ourselves. We are meeting a Plymouth side bang in form, but safe."

Rotherham went into the Bradford game without injured top scorer Daniel Nardiello and midfield man David Noble, who has a virus.

They also lost Michael O'Connor to injury late in the first half and might have to travel to Devon with a weakened squad.

Evans added: "The likelihood is we will be without Nardiello, O'Connor and we might not see David Noble because he has a similar sort of virus to what Lee Frecklington had. You could say we are half decimated but we were at Bradford and sometimes from adversity comes magic."
