Grabban can go...if the price is right

ROTHERHAM United are prepared to let top scorer Lewis Grabban go—but only if the price is right.

And if the striker does leave then manager Steve Evans will be given the cash to spend on a replacement.

Three fresh bids have been received for the 21-goal striker, believed to be in the region of £300,000, and they are getting closer to the club's valuation.

Evans told the Advertiser yesterday that a written offer from a League One club has been received along with a verbal offer from another in the same division.

It is understood that that an offer from a leading League Two club has also come in, although it was not from Evans's current former club Crawley, who made a six-figure bid for the former Brentford man during the January transfer window.

Two of the current bidders were also in for him at that time and the strength of the interest indicates that the Millers might well get the money they want for a player who signed on a free from Griffin Park last summer.
