County boss salutes Millers

NOTTS County boss Steve Cotterill says Rotherham United played their full part in a great game at Meadow Lane on Saturday.

Cotterill, who was in the running for the vacant Millers job after the departure of Mark Robins, now has six wins in eight games since taking charge thanks to Luke Rodgers' late winner as the League Two promotion tussle ended 1-0.

He said: "It was a good game and it looked like it would end up 0-0 but considering our chances in the first half, we deserved to win. We were well in it and we were strong.

"Rotherham played their part in a great game and their two central midfielders (Danny Harrison and Josh Walker) were excellent. It is as tough a game as our central midfield two have had.

"The match ebbed and flowed and there were chances at both ends.

"It was tight but 1-0s win you promotion."
