Club delighted by fans' response

ROTHERHAM United are pleased with the take-up for Wembley tickets as the countdown continues to Sunday's League One play-off final.

As of this morning, the club had shifted 12,700 for the clash with Shrewsbury and the figure could soon top 14,000 with plenty of selling time still to go.

"It's great to see this kind of support," said chief operating officer Paul Douglas. "We hope we can get to the numbers we had for our last trip to Wembley in 2014, if not more.

"After last season, some people maybe didn't think we would reach the play-off final and booked holidays, but to have the numbers we have going down on a Bank Holiday weekend to support us is really good."

Shrewsbury had sold 10,000 tickets at the last count.
