Bester: We're suffering a hangover

ANDRE Bester reckons his Rotherham Titans side have taken time to blow away the memories of the controversial win against Nottingham last month, as they stuttered to an unconvincing win over Birmingham.

Titans won 32-14 but it wasn’t a powerhouse display, Sean Dougall and Jonny Hampsey scoring debut tries.

Said Bester: “I think that we have suffered a collective hangover from the mental affects of the Nottingham match.

“I saw symptoms of that at London Welsh last week and during the first-half against Bees.

“These players are the most close-knit I have worked with which is a positive point but we have to forget about what has happened and I think I saw signs that it is now out of our system in the second-half.

"Birmingham  were very physical and created chances but we never stopped and despite a few disappointments with the performance I have told the players that they should be pleased to have taken five points.”
