Bester back at Lane

ANDRE Bester will today be named new head coach of Rotherham Rugby Club.

The 44-year-old South African makes a sensational return to Clifton Lane three seasons after leaving the club in acrimony after a fall-out with directors.

But following the departure of Craig West, both parties got together to resolve their differences and Bester now takes charge with the intention to taking the Lane men back to within striking distance of the Premiership.

He piloted Rotherham to fourth and then second place in his two seasons at the club before leaving. Since then he has been coaching at All-Ireland minnors Banbridge.
