Ball looking to make home advantage count

Rotherham sit ninth after last weekend’s 2-1 win at Blackpool and with Plymouth in town on Saturday followed by MK Dons a week later, the 27-year-old is eager to work up a head of steam as Christmas approaches.

He said: “We’ve got a home game now and we need to follow up on the Blackpool game.

“We know how important it is to start on the front-foot against Plymouth and get another three points to start climbing back up the table.

“Home games are what you want to win, then you go away from home and dig in like we did at Blackpool.”

The former Fleetwood man netted both goals to turn the game on the west coast in the Millers’ favour, leading to the 986 travelling fans singing his name at full time, something Ball says is nice to hear.

He added: “It’s nice to hear the fans chanting my name, especially when there’s a lot of them singing it.

“There’s no better feeling, I was buzzing for everyone.”
