Trophy try-out for Millers

ROTHERHAM United are set to make changes for tonight's Johnstone's Paint Trophy tie at York City.

Manager Steve Evans has promised that a clutch of players will be given a chance to prove themselves in the second-round encounter at Bootham Crescent.

That could mean the likes of Danny Hylton, Michael Tidser, Tom Eaves and goalkeeper Adam Collin all being handed starts.

Evans says that while the competition isn't a priority, he still wanted to win.

"I will be shouting and appealing for every ball as usual but it will be a different starting 11," he said. "People will get an opportunity and if they don't take it then they might not get another one because we are always looking to strengthen."

The match offers the Millers a chance of revenge, having gone out of the same competition to York at the New York Stadium last season.

Kari Arnason is unavailable due to international duties.

Kick-off is 7.45pm.
