Titans to begin interviews

BEATEN Rotherham Titans will begin interviews for the vacant head coach's job this Friday.

At least four contenders will meet Clifton Lane officials, who expect to make a decision shortly afterwards over who will replace Wasps-bound Lee Blackett.

Blackett's two-year reign at the club ends this week after his side was beaten 24-16 at Abbeydale yesterday, Bristol turning the screw in the second half having trailed 16-6 six minutes into the second half.

That was the result of a Jamie Broadley try, plus three Tom Barrett penalties and a conversion, narrowing the aggregate deficit to two points and sending home hopes soaring.

But as at Ashton Gate the previous week, Bristol were simply too strong in the run-in and tries from Marco Mamma and Jack Tovey saw them canter home as brave Rotherham ran out of steam.

Bristol now play Worcester over two legs in the final.
